This Sangiovese-dominant (95%) wine is natural Tuscany in one of its finest forms. Giovanna Morganti is an outspoken advocate for minimalist vinification and biodynamic farming, which she believes work in tandem to best reflect terroir. Notes of juicy cherries, orange peel, baking spice, and wet soil dominate this wine’s silky and satisfying cuvée.
Note: Giovanna has opted out of the Chianti Consorzio since 2011, hence the IGT labelling, though make no mistake — this wine is the essence of Chianti. ‘Cinque’ represents the five original grapes used in classic Chianti, five fingers (‘a wine to keep at hand’), the five leaves/flowers per grape bunch, and Giovanna’s home address.
