The Mongeard’s roots run deep in Burgundy, arriving to Vosne-Romanée in the 18th century, with records of past members working at DRC dating back to 1786. After following advice from Henri Gouges, the Mongeards began bottling wines under their own name in the mid 1900s. The 2016 ‘Grands Echezeaux’ shows a gorgeous uby hue in the glass, giving way to musky notes of wet earth, pepper, and cherries. Well balanced & dense; a truly outstanding bottle!
