Love plush, palate-coating white wines? Then this sustainably-produced white blend from Kumusha is for you. Tinashe Nyamudoka produces this cuvée mostly from Roussanne (48%) and Chenin Blanc (35%), with a smidge of Colombard and Sémillon thrown in for good measure. Unctuous notes of honeysuckle, canned peaches, white flowers, and citrus rind dominate the wine, though the Chenin’s zesty acid keeps the juice impeccably balanced. Only 250 cases were produced.
Kumusha is owned and operated by Tinashe Nyamudoka, one of South Africa’s most impressive, award-winning winemakers. In addition to Kumusha, Tinashe is an executive board member of the Black Cellar Club (BLACC), a non-profit organization that works to support black winemakers and sommeliers across the globe.
