The nine hectares of Bérêche et Fils estate was founded in 1847, and has been known for creating complex, terroir-driven wines for over 150 years and is farmed biodynamically, manually, and without chemicals by the innovative young duo of Raphaël and Vincent Bérêche. Secondary fermentations are executed under cork closures, adding a layer of complexity to the wines.
The 2018 ‘Rive Gauche’ is a blanc de noirs crafted from 100% Pinot Meunier, creating a chalky, pure wine of elegance and complexity, showing intense flavors of tart red fruits, wet stones, flower petals, and brioche; an homage to the ‘spirit of Bohemian Paris!’ We’ll drink to that.
