Alberto Orte is considered one of the most talented of today’s Spanish vintners. ‘Anibal’ is made from 90-year-old Garnacha, Tempranillo, and Viura, much of it from old vines grown on the highest slopes of Rioja. The Sierra de la Demanda range sits at 2,300 ft, a very different setting high above the vineyards commonly associated with Rioja. This is a remote place, and Alberto Orte is the only producer making 100% Sierra de la Demanda wine right now, as far as we know. Bottled exclusively for Verve Wine, ‘Anibal’ is crafted in careful, natural methods delivering an elegant, mineral-driven, dark-fruited Rioja. It embodies concentration and freshness and is ready to drink at an earlier stage yet has the acidity to age for quite some time.

Due to the multiple parties involved such as the factory and the warehouse, we are unable to completely manage our stock. The levels of stock can change at any given time. Be aware that it is possible that your order could be out of stock after you've placed your order.
