Quinta da Pellada’s wines are produced at the hands of Alvaro Castro, who is arguably the best winemaker in all of the Dao. Tradition and modernity gorgeously collide at this stunning estate, which focuses on indigenous regional varieties. ‘Quinta de Saes’ is an organic field blend of native varieties, fermented in steel and aged for 24 months in used oak. The wine is aromatic and spicy, marked by flavors of red and black fruit, wet earth, and wild herbs.
